Measure 3.1 Data collection
The measure 3.1 Data collection is aimed at data collection, management and use of data for the purposes of scientific analysis and for the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy. The subsidy may be granted for supporting the national and subnational multiannual sampling programmes, provided that they relate to stocks covered by the Common Fishery Policy, involvement of representatives of member states and regional authorities in regional coordination meetings or at sessions of the international bodies responsible for providing scientific advisory services, improvement in data collection and data management systems and the implementation of pilot studies to improve existing data collection and data management systems.
The measure is in accordance with Article 77 (2) a), b), e), f) of Regulation No 508/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
Measure 3.2 Product traceability
The measure 3.2 Product traceability is aimed at improved aquaculture product traceability. It is possible to support the development, purchase and installation of the components, including computer hardware and software, which are necessary to ensure the traceability of fishery and aquaculture products, as referred to in Article 58 of Regulation (EC) No 1224/2009, training and exchange programmes, including exchanges between Member States, for personnel responsible for the monitoring, control and surveillance of fisheries activities, cost/benefit analyses and assessments of audits performed and expenditure incurred by competent authorities in carrying out monitoring, control and surveillance, initiatives, including seminars and media tools, aimed at enhancing awareness among both fishermen and other persons such as inspectors, public prosecutors and judges, as well as among the general public of the need to fight illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and of the implementation of the Common Fishery Policy rules.
The measure is in accordance with Article 76 (2) c), h), i), j) of Regulation No 508/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
