Information on the National Rural Network partners
One of the fundamental principles behind the functioning of the National Rural Network (NRN) is the creation of a broad platform for exchange of opinions and experience between all the stakeholders involved in rural development. The NRN is open to all interested parties and currently cooperates with more than 600 members from among state institutions and non-governmental organizations at central to regional level. This text provides more details about 2 most significant partners of NRN from the group of non-governmental organizations devoted to matters of rural development.
National Network of Local Action Groups in the CR, o.s. (NN LAG CR)
NN LAG CR is an association of Local Action Groups (LAG) applying the LEADER approach. The mission of NN LAG CR is primarily to associate LAGs, to represent LAGs at the national level vis-a-vis government institutions, ministries, organizations established by ministries and other relevant entities, at the international level vis-a-vis organizations and entities involved in activities under LEADER initiative, and vis-a-vis other partners, institutions, authorities etc. Last but not least NN LAG CR is authorized by its members to cooperate and communicate with regions and their regional authorities, with organizations active in rural development, with financial institutions, at international level with relevant EU institutions, with international institutions involved in matters related to rural areas and LEADER approach.

Association for rehabilitation of countryside
The Association is a non-governmental non-profit organization which has been advocating the interests of rural area in its broadest sense ever since 1993. It associates 850 members from among municipalities, legal and natural persons who care about the villages and do not want them to become merely places to sleep. It endeavors to keep important institutions and services in rural areas, it calls upon the law makers not to let the rural areas be side-tracked. A show window of the Association is the Village of the Year competition which stimulates the municipalities to further develop and sustain the spirit of togetherness between their citizens and associations.
